All Ireland Final Preview: Limerick return to Croke Park this September looking to make amends for last year's narrow defeat to Galway at the same stage. After that final defeat the team got into a huddle on the pitch and vowed to get back to Croke Park in 2014. This they have done and only the final hurdle remains. Like the minor and senior hurlers before them Limerick face Kilkenny opposition in Croke Park and the team led by captain Fiona Hickey are hoping to go one better than their male counterparts give Limerick...

All-Ireland SHC: Incredibly, a draw once again:

Monday 08th September, 2014

ALL-IRELAND SHC FINAL: KILKENNY 3-22 TIPPERARY 1-28 After 53 years without a replay, the 2012 and 2013 finals finished level, and at the end of an incredible final on Sunday, the scarcely credible scenario of a third replay in a row is now before us. Incredibly, the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship final has finished level for the third year in a row as Kilkenny and Tipperary played out a remarkable draw at Croke Park on Sunday. The replay will take place at Croke Park on Saturday, September...

Minor Final Preview: Limerick v Kilkenny:

Saturday 06th September, 2014

Sunday, September 7 Electric Ireland All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship Final Kilkenny v Limerick, Croke Park, Sunday, 1.15pm (Live on TG4) For Kilkenny, masters of the minor grade, Sunday's final is familiar territory. For their opponents Limerick, it's much less so. This is only the Treaty County's second appearance in the decider since they won their last title back in 1984. Limerick lost the 2005 All-Ireland final to Galway, and until last summer's victory in the Munster MHC Championship, that was...

All-Ireland Minor Final Team Guide: Kilkenny:

Friday 05th September, 2014

All-Ireland Minor Final Team Guide: Kilkenny: By Arthur Sullivan Perhaps the secret to this Kilkenny team's success can be found by going back to a wet, windy April day in Nowlan Park when they registered just 0-3 in a stunning home defeat against Dublin. Hard to believe it now, but All-Ireland MHC finalists Kilkenny were beaten 2-8 to 0-3 by Dublin in the Leinster Championship at Nowlan Park back on April 26. They have turned their fortunes around brilliantly since that defeat, beating Carlow and Laois in...
