Big Day for our underage this Sunday   21/03/2012

 
Last Saturday on St. Patrick's Day we had a big turnout for the St. Patrick's Day parade when our underage Boy's and Girl's took to O Connell Street in great style. Many thanks to the underage committee for making sure everything went well and also the adults who walked with the Boys and Girls on the day to look after them it's was great to see the Green and White of St. Patrick's in big numbers well done to all involved. The Club season will get underway this weekend when both our adult and underage fixtures will start on this Sunday. Our under 14 footballers are in action at 11am in Rhebogue following their exit from Feile hurling two ago on its football when we entertain East side Cappamore in the first round we ask for plenty of support for this under 14 side then later that Sunday evening our senior footballers will open their county football league campaign with an away game to St. Kieran's in Ardagh throw in for this game is at 6.45pm. Our minor footballers who were due to start their championship last Sunday but a request from Ballybrown to postponed it was granted by the club and County Board round two was also due to take place on this Sunday against Oola but this game is also postponed due to Doon college been involved in a All Ireland final on the same day. Our ladies football teams will also get into action this week when the Girls County football league will be up and running when on this Wednesday March 28th our under 14 girls team open their county league when they will travel to Ballylanders to take on the home team with away game to Ballylanders then on Friday evening next March 30th our under 16 girls team opens their County football league with a home game to Ahane at 6.30pm. With the season now beginning it is important that all playing members Boys and Girls are paid up members of the club and to all other playing members, adults and underage, supporters and former club members there is only two weeks left to pay your club membership March 31st is the deadline with Family membership @ €60, Adults @ €40, Minor & Students €25 and at O.A.P. @ €10. Closing date for membership is March 31st and it is vital that all playing members of the club to pay their membership before the playing season starts. Please contact club secretary Eamonn Phelan or Club Treasurer Jack Sheehan as soon as you can to pay your membership for 2012. The Club underage registration for 2012 will take place on this Sunday March 25th at Rhebogue for all our underage members and families this is a great day out for all the family as entertainment is provided at the club grounds also on that day is the finals of the street leagues will take place with the first game at 2.30pm for more information please contact our underage secretary Peter Sheehan at 0856080512 The under 6 hurling training continues in CBS Sexton Street Sports Hall on this Friday evening at 7.30pm the training is for both boys and girls and new comers are always welcome. The club provides all required equipment for the training session. Training of the under 8 panel also continues in CBS Sports Hall on Friday evening at 7.30pm as with the under 6's new comers are welcome and the club will have hurley's and helmets as needed. With large numbers been seen every Friday evening the club is asking for anyone willing to donate 1 hour per week to help out at the training. Our under 10 training continues on Friday evenings at 8.15 pm in CBS Sexton Street. Our under 12 hurling training continues every Saturday at 3pm in Rhebogue. The club had two winners in the opening draw of the Limerick G.A.A. club development draw for 2012 membership for this draw can still be taking at a cost of €10 per draw or €100 per year, The club benefits greatly from this draw and if you want to be part of the draw please contact club secretary Eamonn Phelan at 0872807546 to join the nest draw will take place on Friday April 6th in Castlemahon.
